Artist Allyson Bode and I find a quiet(ish) corner of Fan Expo New Orleans and have a chat about her work- SoulSpeak Studios! Not only her visual arts, but her background as a costumer come up. She and I have similar views on getting started with whatever tools you have, making improvisation and innovation part of your craft, and treating every convention as an adventure.
