Hugh Brown is a multiple best-selling author and Australian documentary photographer.  His GARIMPEIROS Project documents the world’s poorest miners, working in extreme and difficult working conditions.
There are 40 million of these miners directly employed, and 240 million indirectly employed,– over 10 percent of the   Third World’s working population – yet nothing is known about them by most in the developed world.
