A lot of finding new artists or new bands or even just albums will usually come from coming across names that are familiar to music you already know or like. What can usually seal that deal is when two different artists that you enjoy come together for a collaboration. For me, a discovery online back in the mid-2000’s was the coming together of the man known as The Voice of Rock and the man known as the Voice of AOR attracted my attention, if for nothing else than an interest as to how they would utilise their wonderful vocals and just what kind of music they would produce together. The meshing of Glenn Hughes and Joe Lynn Turner produced the entity known as the Hughes Turner Project, and 20 years ago they released their debut album titled simply “HTP”. And that will be the focus of today’s episode on the world’s most ignored music podcast, Music from a Lifetime.
