Human trafficking and it's link to Vancouver

In February of this year, Michael Bannon, 35, was sentenced to 14 years in prison and is banned for life from accessing the internet. Bannon had  pleaded guilty to 22 charges including sexual interference and benefiting from the sexual services of a minor. One of his victims who was only 17 at the time, was contacted by him on Facebook out of the blue, he then picked her up near her home in Surrey and took her to a hotel in Vancouver. Over the course of a weekend, he forced her to have almost 30 sexual encounters. Human trafficking isn’t a far off problem, it's happening here in the hotels of cities all over Canada. Tim Dickert spoke with Larissa Maxwell, who is the Director of Anti-Human Trafficking Programs for the Salvation Army, to better understand the realities of Human Trafficking in Canada.
