February 3, 12:10 a.m., Head River Road near 3200 block: Single-vehicle crash. Vehicle lost control westbound, left roadway, struck tree. Front passenger, a juvenile female, pronounced deceased at scene. Second passenger hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Driver cooperated. Under investigation by VBPD Traffic Safety Unit.
