January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, but the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) has expired. Seth and JJ talkd about how the Trump administration and a GOP Congress failed to reauthorize the TVPA, which means funding for many programs ended in 2017. Further, Homeland Security has further emphasized a Prosecution approach to trafficking, primarily directing people to ICE. JJ talks about the Protection and Prevention.
