Robots come in all shapes and sizes. They all perform different functions. But the robots that look like us are called humanoids and they are the most exciting robots currently. There are both advantages and disadvantages to having a bi-pedal robot. But still, there are applications where a robot looking like a human has far more acceptance from the general population than other types of robots.
