Humiliation is really shame, but unfortunately some Christian groups tend to think of it as synonymous with humility. There's no room in the Church for anyone to have to eat humble pie. Real humility is having a correct view of yourself—not putting self down or getting lost in shame. True humility is a guard against humiliation.
