2 Samuel 18:9, Then Absalom met the servants of David. Absalom rode on a mule. The mule went under the thick boughs of a great terebinth tree, and his head caught in the terebinth; so he was left hanging between heaven and earth. And the mule which was under him went on. (NKJV)
In Numbers 12, the sin that Aaron and Miriam commit is not adultery, it wasn’t murder. The sin that God almost killed them for was the sin of was “speaking against My servant Moses.” There is the power of life and death in the tongue! Aaron and Miriam did not discuss Moses’ perceived sin of marrying an Ethiopian woman, they used it as an opportunity to come against him as a man of God, and God heard it! If we want to move in purity of heart and spirit don’t be hung by the tongue, just like Absalom was in the above scripture!
