Shelly Fortner of the Hunger Task Force joined Sean Dwyer on La Crosse Talk Wednesday morning.
In addition to discussing the need for donations, Fortner also talked about having people volunteer to help. She said more than 2,000 people volunteer every year in some way at the Task Force. This could be collecting food items, working in the warehouse, or taking care of the many vegetables grown in the Kane Street Community Garden.
She also talked about one of their upcoming fundraisers focused on St. Patrick's Day-the St. Paddy's Day .01K. Sponsored by 95.7 The Rock, it's the world's shortest race. More details here.
