A 41-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Blackshaws Road in South Kingsville, Melbourne's inner west, around 11pm. The driver accelerated away from the scene, leaving the victim bleeding in the gutter with serious injuries. Nearby residents heard the impact and found the man semi-conscious in the dark, while CCTV captured the sound of the collision and the vehicle fleeing the scene.
