Sound Effect Credits:
At 0.59.50 and 1.01.10: from the Department of Conservation, New Zealand Government website: The first shriek is the sound of a male Kakapo giving a territorial warning, the second clickier sounds are from a female singing. Wild world, isn’t it? All I did was reduce the background forest noise so you could hear it better, and clip the sounds together. Well worth a listen to in their entirety, here:
