Safety Advocate Hunter Bland joined us on the show to discuss his role in the marine industry as a safety advocate. Hunter is a veteran bass fishing tour angler with college and professional experience.

Hunter’s widely recognized as a leading advocate for boating safety.   Hunter and his college partner were involved in a highly publicized boating accident that was caught live on their go-pro.  The incident motivated Hunter to speak out about his experience and propelled him to the forefront of the boating safety community.

Hunter now serves in a wide variety of industry and government-appointed roles, including a recent appointment by Governor Ron Desantis to the Florida Boating Advisory Council.  He is also a National Safe Boating Council Member and helped to develop the National Water Safety Action plan.
