Laura Jackel is a published freelance writer, co-hosts the popular Oversubscribed podcast and is a casual academic tutor at the University of Newcastle.

She is a regular contributor to lifestyle websites Mamamia and Domain and has had articles published in a range of other respected publications.

Prior to becoming a freelance writer, Laura had a decade-long career in marketing, public relations and communications. She is a passionate reader and has been a board member of the Newcastle Writers Festival since 2016. When Laura’s not writing her days away, she is a busy mum of two boys who likes to indulge in coffee and the occasional glass of champagne.
