Hunter or Huntress...

What do women call themselves that hunt? What connotation does this title carry? How derogatory can it be? What does our hunting community feel about it vs those outside of it? Is the US the main perpetrator for the negative view? Social media and the internet have a huge hand in the downward spiral of it, but could it be the key to bringing it back to its finest glory? These are all questions that we tackle in this episode. As controversial as it is when did it become a negative description of the word? Is there hope for bringing it back to the powerful and strong word that it was when describing our ancestors? This conversation is an important one not because it can and will fix it, but maybe just maybe it will encourage one woman or girl to find pride in the fact that 95% of the women in our community are a positive light for this title. That the small percentage of women who bring a bad name to it should stop getting the attention they don't deserve! That is our responsibility.
