For decades, two men's D1 college golf perpetual trophies were passed down from one champion to the next. The winning teams gained ownership of the Maxwell Cup (1921) while the individual winner got the Chick Evans Bowl (1940), getting to literally etch their names in history. Sometime in the 1980s these trophies were phased out in favor of the NCAA standardized trophies and seemingly vanished.
