Tim Ballard, founder of Operation Underground Railroad, has gone undercover in the U.S. and abroad to successfully infiltrate dozens of child trafficking organizations while rescuing countless children from human traffickers and pedophiles. He spent more than a decade working as a Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and deployed as an undercover operative for the U.S. Child Sex Tourism Jump Team. Tim left his government post to form Operation Underground Railroad, an organization that works with law enforcement to free victims of human trafficking and exploitation, and then works fervently to break the cycle.

Tim is an expert at managing Internet investigations, particularly those dealing with file-share networks where pedophiles and traffickers go to trade child sexual abuse material (CSAM). He has trained hundreds of law enforcement officers and has testified before the U.S. Congress on best practices to liberate children from sex slavery.

Sound of Freedom, a recently produced motion picture starring Jim Caviezel (The Passion of The Christ), recounts Tim's journey from being a government agent to rescuing children around the world.
