As someone who lives in North Carolina, the damage caused by Hurricane Helene is catastrophic. While lives were taken, homes destroyed, major damage to flooding and places like small mountain towns completely wrecked it was good to see the people helping each other out and various organizations making a difference. When our government and its agencies are busy giving Billions to Israel and funding wars and destruction it is the people who have risen to the occasion.
