There is a movement here in Section 1 to add a girls-only high school hockey league. There have been a number of free clinics sponsored by the New York Rangers for girls in grades K through 12. During this special Episode of "The #HVpucks Podcast, I sat down with Rosie DeRosa, who played college hockey at RPI and works for the Rangers at the MSG Training Center. I also chatted with Stacey Wierl, K-5 Health and P.E. Coordinator for Scarsdale Public Schools, College Professor and Ice Hockey & Lacrosse Coach. Stacey is one of the driving forces behind the girls HS hockey league initiative. Both Rosie and Stacey will be playing in the February 24th A.S.S.I.S.T. Game at Brewster Ice Arena on Saturday, February 24th to benefit the HVGHSIH initiative. Enjoy!
