Dr. George Everly is a founder of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF), the organization that pioneered debriefing models for first responders who face life and death on the job. Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) provides tools, information and support for managing acute stress reactions.

He teaches at The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and is the author of a PSYCHOLOGY TODAY blog "When Disaster Strikes”

He is an NGO delegate for ICISF at the United Nations.
