Listen Later

This hymn on Lord Krishna was composed by Saint Nimbaarkaacharya. He is believed to have lived around the 11th and 12th centuries and is the exponent of the Dvaitadvaita school of philosophy.

According to him the Jiva and the world are both separate from, and also identical with, Brahman.

Adi Sankara was the exponent of the Kevala Advaita philosophy, Ramanuja of the Visishtadvaita philosophy,

Madhvacharya of the Dvaita philosophy, Vallabhacharya of the Suddhadvaita philosophy and Nimbaarkaacharya of the Dvaitadvaita philosophy.

Followers of this cult worship Radha and Krishna and Bhagavata Purana is the most important scripture for them.

Nimbaarkaacharya has written many books including
commentaries on the Brahma Sutras and the Bhagawat Gita and this small beautiful hymn is one of them. This hymn is to be recited in the early morning.
