Caroline shares the personal and political motivations that led her to create NCF—a people-powered alternative to elitist, overpriced cannabis industry conferences. She opens up about the fight for local autonomy in D.C., where Congress is attempting to gut the city's budget by $1 billion and even force the removal of Black Lives Matter Plaza. Caroline contextualizes this within D.C.’s long-standing struggle for home rule and representation, tying it to broader efforts around racial justice and the drug war.

The episode dives into how NCF is resisting the corporatization of cannabis events by keeping the culture vibrant, inclusive, and fun, while also advancing education and harm reduction. From policy summits to sanctuary spaces to navigating federal challenges, NCF is holding the line for cannabis freedom and community healing.
