Don’t eat with Friends you wouldn’t starve with

Proverbs 18:24 states, “A man that has friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.” 

   - This is not talking about Jesus… its talking about friends.

We can have many friends… 

BUT RARE… VERY RARE… MAYBE ONLY 1 WILL BE THE FRIEND THAT WILL STICK CLOSER THAN A BROTHER. 

Sticks closer… HB daw-bake clinging, cleaving… a work to stay connected. Thats why I think its a friend and not Jesus. 

If you want a friend you can starve with you must be willing to 

1. Encourage honesty and don’t shy away from it or whine, no excuses, no hurt feelings, no “well you don’t understand”…
