Jesus made I Am declarations that were intentional acts of staking his claim on everything in creation. Jesus not only wants everyone to hear him, but he wants everyone to be included in his claims. Jesus wants all people to put their faith and trust in him so that his claims may become part of our lives forever.

It is interesting to consider that we all are heading for the same place: the grave. One day, Jesus stood before a grave. The grave was occupied. While looking at this grave Jesus proclaimed, I am the resurrection and the life (John 11:25). Jesus entered his creation that had been shrouded by death. Then he made that supernatural pronouncement. It's one thing to make a pronouncement it's altogether another thing to make it come true. All who place their faith in Jesus will discover just how true life in him really is.
