When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord (Jehovah) is with you (Immeka), mighty warrior.” Judges 6:12

Gideon (the coward) is hiding in the winepress. When the angel calls Gideon a ‘Mighty man of valour,’ he is calling him by his God-given identity.

God reveals himself to Gideon as Jehovah Shalom (God our peace, Judges 6:24).
