Last night I heard Will Jawando speak at an event in Montgomery County where he is a councilmember. He said that he has been spending 8 minutes and 46 seconds in silence in memorial of George Floyd and encouraged others to take the time to do the same. I decided that I would do this as well and I would ask my listeners to do it too. This episode is silence. No ads, no intro or outro. Please ponder the immensity of the silence left behind by a life lost. Please put yourself in George Floyd’s place and imagine 8 minutes and 46 seconds of someone kneeling on your neck. Please imagine what he thought, felt, and heard. Imagine yourself in his place and then imagine your loved one in his place. Police brutality is unacceptable. We have to keep fighting for real change, not just in the United States but everywhere. No justice. No peace. Black Lives Matter.
