James Hetfield update on his recovery process from alcoholism and other addictions via the the group's Fan Club magazine So What:

Hetfield is the co-founder, lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and main songwriter for the American heavy metal band Metallica. He helped start the band by answering an ad in the paper for a guitarist by Lars Ulrich the drummer.
