I put Coca-Cola and Pepsi under a 1000x microscope to see what we’re actually drinking.

Everyone knows the "sugar" and "acid" arguments against soda, but the microscope reveals a hidden world of crystallization, particles, and residue that you can't see with the naked eye. In this investigation, I’m putting the world's two biggest soda brands to the test to see which one looks the most unsettling at high-definition magnification.

If you’re a fan of Coke or Pepsi, the microscopic results in this side-by-side comparison will change the way you look at that next can.

// THE SODA INVESTIGATION //

Method: High-definition microscopy at 100x, 400x, and 1000x magnification.

The Goal: Analyzing liquid composition and checking for inorganic debris.

Verdict: One brand has a much "busier" microscopic profile than the other.
