While acting might not always have been the goal for Aleks Paunovic, entertaining people has. He grew up in a family with three generations of boxers, and that competitive spirit has driven everything he's done. When his own boxing career took a hit due to an injury, Paunovic turned to acting in his 30's. He says he was the "grandpa" of his acting classes and certainly felt the awkward looks of people second guessing his late-blooming. But perseverance paid off as the roles started to come. He'll never forget the advice Anthony Hopkins gave him on set, sharing one just needs to approach every day and every role with the same vigor to achieve success. Now, that attitude has him starring on SyFy's Van Helsing and coming up in 2019, Cold Pursuit (opposite Liam Neeson), and TNT's new series, Snowpiercer.
