Dean Devlin: is a Hollywood movie and television director, writer, and producer who has spearheaded projects that have grossed several hundred million dollars at the box office. Devlin co-wrote and produced Independence Day with Will Smith, as well as Godzilla with Matthew Broderick. He also produced The Patriot with Mel Gibson, and has launched the television series, The Librarians and The Outpost, which currently airs Tuesdays on The CW. However, before the big roles came along, Devlin started as a production assistant on small budget projects, putting in long hours and working his way up. Now, he's still not coasting as he's the CEO of his own entertainment company and content is still being created daily.
