"I Could Write a Book" is a show tune from the 1940 Rodgers and Hart musical "Pal Joey," originally sung by Gene Kelly and Leila Ernst. Now a jazz standard--extensively covered-- Harry Connick Jr.'s version was used in the '89 film "When Harry Met Sally" and also appeared on the soundtrack of the '97 film "Deconstructing Harry."
