Today I’m starting my chats with artists in Surrey, and I start here in Walton with a talented friend, artist and painter- Candida Woolley.
Candida had developed her passion for art as a child inspired by the Masters and guided by her mother. She trained as an architect and led major London projects, before having a family. She studied at Wimbledon Art College, and developed her passion for art, painting landscapes and portraits in oils on large canvases - inspired by the beautiful Surrey and Norfolk landscape - and the hours of walks in lockdown . She now exhibits in Aldebrough and Guildford each year - her paintings are available to buy on Instagram and she works from her studio in Walton.
