"I don't know" may be the most frequent response to a question that there is. Most of us automatically say "I don't know" when asked to explain something about ourselves. Sometimes it's a copout. We do know. We don't want to admit it or own it because it's uncomfortable. Oftentimes, we have no clue as to why we had a particular emotion or took a particular action. BUT... If we are prompted to explore it and if we are willing to look deeper, we are usually able to come to the truth of it. And this is called gaining insight and it makes our lives work better.
