It was a normal day at school when I had to go to the guidance counselor to talk about applying to colleges. I went in, super excited and ready, because I had been told that with my grades and accomplishments all I had to do was pick. My guidance counselor greeted me at the door to her office, saying “Hi sweetie! Let’s get started”.
