My mom and dad had to be grounded! I know I am an adult, and so are they. But turnaround is fair play! At what point did I become the parent to my parents? Here's how it went down. My mom and dad, Rita and David, travel quite a bit. I think that's wonderful! But as they get older I worry more and more about them. I always ask them to please call me when they arrive back from being on vacation or out of town, even if for an overnight. I do worry! So, as you listen to my phone call to them, I was quite upset when they did not call me after being in Mexico. So, I called them and Lo & Behold! They had been back for a few days and didn't think to call me and let me know they were okay. So, I did what any well disciplined child of a parent who at times now needs parenting (or at least I suppose I think they do!): I grounded them! They were quite tickled with my worry, but I suppose turn about is fair play. When I think of all the times I worried them and only got grounded twice ;).
