🔹Ven Pomnyun’s Dharma Q&A
Selection from a Dharma Q&A session at St. Thomas
Episcopal Church in Sunnyvale, California (Nov. 8, 2014)
🔹Question: As we live, we
encounter problems such as love and betrayal. We encounter people that betray you like friends, business partners or even your loved ones. For me, it's very hard to forgive regardless of what happened. A lot of my friends tell me that I should for give the person regardless of what happened. I think betrayal is worse than getting love because betrayal means that you were being loved and thrown back. I tried to understand that we should forgive. But, then am I
wrong? Animals don't forgive each other. Animals attack back if they were being betrayed. Am I wrong if I have no feeling, if I have no reason to forgive the person back?
