The Holy Spirit still deals with me in the area of forgiveness and while He promises me a new beginning He reminds me that some old situations which I have forgiven are coming back to test my resolve...He asks me "Cathy, when you are face to face with your oppressor will you remember you forgave them?" And I know He asks me because the distance sometimes can have a blurring effect on our minds. In other words, it is easier to forgive what our minds are under the impression of forgetting. But the test of my resolve to forgive is coming when I have to face all involved.

And so applies to you listening, 'are you absolutely sure you have forgiven them? Or does the distance given have a blurring effect that makes you simply forget the memory causing you to believe you have forgiven them?"

And so the Holy Spirit says to you and me today:

"In this new beginning where I am making all things beautiful and transforming your ashes to such profound beauty, tables will be turned in your favor and then your chance will come to show whether or not you are any different than those God caused you to trade places with.

You are still all God's children and He loves you all the same. However, He always draws near to those who draw near to Him.

The plans I laid out have not changed however, you have beautifully transformed into the soldier I need to fully carry them out .

And now that you see the options laid out in front of you, will you choose to follow my plan regardless of how less appealing they may seem at first sight?

I have not changed my mind. I hope you do not change yours . My grace will always be sufficient for you and if you continue to look to me, my strength will be made perfect in your weakness."
