I have ridden many nightmares

saddled to my balled up sheets

Spurred by brainwaves that went crazy

where my nights brought me no peace

from the time I was a toddler

on my journeys through bad dreams

even now sometimes I startle

all my neighbors with my screams

Sonombulance it is a crap shoot

when you sleep you face the chance

that from the horrors in the darkness

you might need an ambulance,

have also walked in my sleep

with no previews of their stories

you never know what you will find.

Perhaps our lives are all quite simply

just a dream some bad, some nice

but we won't know this till we wake up

in the bowels of hell or paradise.

But all of my dreams I've known lately

are so much sweeter since you've been

a real life love that stands beside me

I hope that our dream never ends

You are all the dreams I cherish

dreams of love that has come true

and I've been thankful for their blessing

Since you told me....."I love you.""

other sweetest dreams fall lacking

since you blessed my days and nights

dreams have brought their special magic

some have left humans ecstatic

others brought wars that were tragic

Martin Luther King he had a dream

that someday men would be equal

but when he came down

from that mountaintop

He perished in hates sequel

Dreams are cinemas we visit

Fantastic movies in our mind

You are my sweetest dream

you are the dream I'll keep

forever and a day

awake and when I sleep
