Statements like "I love you but I hate your people", "I love you but I don't like your village ", "I love you but I wish you are really from a different place", etc are indices of a deep background bias. When partners come from too uniquely different backgrounds, it might have an adverse effect on their individual ability to love each other unconditionally and see things perpendicularly. Different backgrounds requires different attention and different expression. When where you are from has a huge influence over where you are going, it invariably determines who can also go with you.
