We are uniquely created for connection. As such, we are sensitive to similarities and differences…we are drawn toward similarities and away from differences. The tricky thing is that we will find whichever of these we are looking for. Essentially, if we focus on the differences, it will be easy to push people away or at least keep them at a distance. If we focus on the similarities, we are drawn to more and more people and it is easier to love them.
