Conflict are inevitable in relationships. I think of them as a necessary evil. We may not like them, but they provide a better understanding of each other as well as ourselves. Conflicts can reveal hidden trauma and pain that trigger us.
The Bible says in Amos 3:3 that two people cannot walk together without agreeing on a direction. Some times, we need to disagree to agree on a destination, and how we intend to arrive there safely. It’s not so much about the disagreements, but how they are resolved and how both parties proceed moving forward. It’s not always about trouble free journeys, but safe landing.
