I was sitting in my favourite restaurant having lunch with my girlfriends, when I saw my boyfriend, Adam, coming over to me.

“Hi Babe.” He said.

“Oh, yeah, hi.” I replied. “Listen, I don’t think you should call me babe anymore.”

“Why not?”

“Because we’re over!”

“What do you mean?”

“You know, you’re dumped!” I went on. “You’ve served your purpose but I’m bored with you now!”

Adam walked away from our table, he looked heartbroken. I rolled my eyes at my friends.

“What a loser!” I said, laughing.

They all burst out laughing too.
