In this episode, I talk (or rant rather lol) about social media fatigue. The overconsumption, doomscrolling, comparison, and disconnection that seems to grow the more online we are. It makes me sad that we’ve replaced real connection with curated slivers of people’s lives, and it’s changing the way we exist in the world.
I found myself thinking about the days when I had a food blog and social media was about community. I used to actively reach out to creators and meet them in real life — not for networking or optics, but for connection. Those creators didn’t owe me their time, yet they gave it. And for that, I’m still grateful. It reminded me that social media was always meant to be a bridge, NOT a substitute for real life.
Going into 2026, I want to be online less and live more. I want to consume with intention, create with purpose, and build community that exists beyond the screen.
Time offline matters too. It’s in those quiet, unplugged moments that we remember that what we want and need is already within us. It has to start within. Connection, confidence, creativity– they all begin in the real world first before they can be shared online.
Listen now and follow for more mindful, intentional conversations.
