Bible definition of success: to gain wisdom along life’s way

10 The length of our days is seventy years—or eighty, if we have the strength;

yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

12 Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 90:10-12 (ref. NLT)

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16making the

most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16 NLT

4 Ways to Number Your Days

1. Addition: _____________________

“Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love

and His wonderful deeds for mankind.” Psalm 107:31

2. Subtraction: ___________________

“Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will

confess my transgressions to the LORD’—and you forgave the guilt of my sin.” Psalms 32:5

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
