This is not a cry for pity, it's an appeal to your conscience.
Sometimes we get so caught up with our nuclear family that we forget that beyond that there is yet a larger part of our family.
So many members of that family like cousins, uncles and aunts, and even siblings, all these people have contributed in some way or another to the person that we are today, but sometimes we are so blinded that we are not able to see beyond our immediate family.
