I tested my backyard water under a 1000x microscope... and found monsters.

We often assume pool water is sterile and planter water is just "dirt," but the microscope reveals a much more active (and terrifying) reality. In this investigation, I compared samples from my swimming pool, an outdoor water feature, and a planter box to see what kind of bacteria, amoebas, and micro-predators are lurking in our own backyards.

If you’ve ever wondered what you're actually swimming in—or what's living in that "decorative" fountain—the results at 1000x magnification will change your perspective on backyard safety.

// BACKYARD WATER INVESTIGATION //

Subjects: Chlorine-treated Pool Water, Stagnant Water Feature, and Planter Drainage.

Method: High-definition microscopy at 100x, 400x, and 1000x magnification.

The Goal: Identifying microscopic life, algae, and potential contaminants.

Verdict: Nature is much more crowded than it looks.
