There is power in thanksgiving. An attitude of thankfulness raises our perspective and reminds us about the good stuff we were missing. Thanking God for things raises our attitude and perspective even higher.
But what about when we thank God for those around us? Too many in the world live their lives empty of affirmation and grace. They don't remember that God loves them unconditionally, that he sent his Son to die for them, that God invites them to come as they are and find healing, restoration, and transformation through his truth and love.
Developing a habit of thanking God for others is often missed as an act of grace. We often don't often offer thanks unless it's earned. But God's grace isn't earned, so when we thank God for others despite their circumstances, we're simply passing along what God has so graciously given us.
Live a life of gratitude. Thank God. Thank God for others. You'll be living out the Gospel in a miraculous new way.
