I have begun a journey about a year ago to reclaim parts of myself I had lost. The Pleasure Principle (is what I am calling it) is the idea that pleasure and turn on are as valuable as productivity and accomplishing. As a mom of 2 in my late 30's I was not feeling pleasure or feeling turned on at all and while I didn't put 2 and 2 together I knew something was missing. I had many moments of thinking... this can't be it. I did everything I was supposed to and I feel so unhappy and unfulfilled. I wasn't in the mood to be intimate and it was starting to feel like a chore.
