On the cross Jesus faces his darkest moment, even as he also faces the full weight of his purpose and destiny. Would we be able to remain faithful and determined in such a moment? 

The truth is that Jesus promised us that if we take up our cross and follow him, there will be suffering and sacrifice. However, even in our sufferings for Jesus we find fulfillment and purpose that brings deep joy when we live into our created destiny. Yet, this earthly joy is but a small taste of the glory and wonder that is to come when our journey is finally done!
