When we read the book of Acts, it feels like the glossy brochure for Christianity—miracles, healing, thousands coming to faith. But then we look at our own lives, and it’s not quite the same. Following Jesus often feels confusing, costly, even dangerous.

In this sermon from Exodus 14, we see that redemption isn’t just about being rescued—it’s about being remade. God doesn’t only clear obstacles out of our path; he leads us through the waters, through places that feel like death, to form us into people who trust him.

Along the way, we’ll discover the false “deals” we often assume God has made with us, and how he patiently drowns them so that we can find real freedom in Christ.
